error syncing to mpeg when trying to listen to mp3 streaming
Hi --
I'm trying to listen to an mp3 stream using a fresh install of Winamp 5.2, but keep getting an "error syncing to mpeg" error. I've read the forum posts on this, many of which suggest verifying that Nullsoft NSV is enabled (which it is), but still no luck. Any suggestions? The file is http://www.wnyc.org/stream/ram.py?fi...dio030306e.mp3 on page http://www.wnyc.org/studio360/show030306.html Thanks! Ramon |
Although it's an .mp3 stream it's delivered in a .ram playlist, so you'll need something like the Tara plugin to play it.
An alternative is to download the link(right click > Save link/Target as) and open the playlist in Notepad. There you will find the direct link to the .mp3 - copy and paste this in to Winamp's Menu > Play URL. In the example you gave the direct address contained in the .ram file is http://audio.wnyc.org/studio/studio030306e.mp3 [edit] If you compare your link to the one I gave, you can probably spot how to get the correct link without downloading the playlist file at all :) UJ |
Brilliant -- worked perfectly.
Thank you! r. |
