Media Library Folder View
Hello,
I did a lot of searching on this topic, but all I could find is that the feature was already reaquested in 2002 and not satisfyingly answered there. So how can I change the Media Library View to a proper folder view as in windows explorer, where I see all my music files neatly sorted in the folders where I thoughtfully put them on my hard disk? I mean come on, who on earth has all of his mp3s tagged correctly? It's a great mess the way it is right now... Can I possibly achieve this by the SmartView thing? I played around with that for a while without getting anywhere... Sorry if this is a FAQ or s.th., just couldn't find anything Cheers and thanks in advance SirTiger P.S. what I almost forgot to say: I found this Directory plugin, but since it has no rating system, it's rather useless to me... I'd like to do the thing in Media library, not somewhere else. |
Ya can't with the Media Library. You can try anothing plugin like Dyamic Library.

Thanks anyways... Other helpful ideas? Cheers SirTiger |
ml_tree
http://www.myplugins.info/ml_tree.php However, that plugin is still under development and is not fully functional yet. I don't think what you want is possible at this moment. |

Thanks a lot! That's what I was looking for! Cheers SirTiger P.S. just out of interest: where does Media library store the rating information? In the mp3 file itself or in some Media library database? |
Ratings are part of the ML database.
See the following... Backing-up Media Library database ratings/playcounts: |
Thank you!
