Connecting to SHOUTcast DNAS using Muse

Not able to connect to SHOUTcast DNAS using Muse (latest OSX version: 0.9.2-svn-PPC-8.2)

Why?

Shoutcast complains:

"...[source] invalid password from SOURCE / HTTP/1.0..."

Password IS valid. This is verified by using winamp (on a window's machine)with Nullsoft SHOUTcast Source DSP v1.9.0 and the same password. That works.

Please help...

Much Appreciated,

Jordan

P.S. I know this matter was addressed earlier in this forum, but I was not able to learn enough from it to find a solution:

Well first off you need to talk to the MUSE team, not shoutcast. Shoutcast can truly only support winamp DSP and shoutcast server. http://muse.dyne.org/?info=description

Funny thing in their docs there is one mention of shoutcast, pdf is 19MM too. Page 52.

If you checked sc_serv.conf and that is the same password you are using, well its time to get on with contact the guys over at muse. No idea what the deal with their software.

I have used muse for this, and you should not be getting this message.... However, Hackerdork actually hit the nail on the head. The only reason for this message can be an improperly configured sc_serv.conf file.

Let me know if you hit any more problems.

debugging OSX Muse for SHOUTcast

I am working with Muse Developers for OSX to address its inabity to connect with SHOUTcast. They are "jaromil" and "xant", both of whom may be reached via IRC (irc.freenode.net, channel = #dyne)

fc*uk, can please send me your properly configured sc_serv.conf file, so that I may compare it with mine? As mentioned, my sc_serv.conf works for Muse on Linux, but not on OSX... Why?
