I have read the thread and do not understand any of the fixes. wheather I listen to FLAC,SHN,WAV or even a commercially recorded CD I have an annoying gap. Other than the gap between tracks on commercial recordings or downloaded tracks. Between tracks I get the standard pause but after about a half second there is another pause of about one or two seconds. What gives. This is very distracting to listening. How do I fix this..Please use laymans terms. Thanks

Press Ctrl-P or right-click somewhere on Winamp and select Option > Preferences.

Go to Plug-Ins > Output, press configure.
Pick the Buffering tab and increase buffer-ahead on track change to at least 500ms, maybe also increase Buffer length.
