Cannot Open Decoder error - so canot burn
 

I've gone through the process of turning off the SOoic engine as detailed elsewhere (in CD ripping prefs and also in the cdda dll plugin), and also gone through the two options with using the nero dll as an alternative (in winamp dir and alt~ in system32 dir). None of these work.

Stilll left wit the "cannot open decoder" error everytime i try to burn a cd from files on the HDD.

So - what's next?

these wouldn't happen to be copy protected wma files would they?

nah all mp3s and wavs

Do you have any 3rd-party plugins installed? (especially input plugins like mp3pro)

Note that (as far as I know) the wnaspi32.dll story is only relevant when you rip a CD, not when you burn one.

Please provide system specs.

Also, do those wave files play properly in Winamp?
