multiple song play failure
 

I am not sure when I began having this problem but I seem to be unable to Enque and play multiple songs any longer. If I select any song in my library it plays fine.

If I bring up Media Library and highlight Playlist (bringing up all the playlists in the right pane and then select (either double click or highlight and 'play'. It will play the first song then stop. If I highlight all the songs in the playlist and play - 1 song and then stop. If I highlight a particular playlist in the left pane and bring up all the songs in the playlist in the right pane same result. If I group highlight the songs in the right pane and 'play' - one song and done. If I highlight and enqueue and play... still one song and done.

So I then tried playing from the Library. Searched an album from the 'Local Media' and it will play the first song then stop. I seem totally unable to play more than one song at a time. Anybody seen this or have a clue as to where to go to fix it. I am not sure when the problem began but it has worked properly in the past (at least since version 5).

Try unchecking this option:
Prefs (Ctrl+P) > Playlist > 'Manual playlist advance'

Thanks. That seems to have solved the problem. Is that a default setting? I don't recall turning it on. Of course after you guided that fix I was then trying to figure out why the albums were playing in random order... before I figured out I had shuffle turned on <g>. Thanks again.

No, it's not a default setting.

Perhaps you played around with the Repeat button in the modern skin. 'Repeat track' is the same as normal repeat + manual playlist advance. If you then switch to the classic skin and you turn off repeat, manual playlist advance will still be enabled.
Or something like that... :p
