RCA (Thomson) Lyra 1076 Plays For Sure... doesn't.
I am unable to get my RCA (Thomson) Lyra RD1076A (with Plays For Sure[tm] logo) recognized by Winamp 5.21's Library's Portables tab. I currently have it connected to the Library through the use of the gUSB plug-in; however, this is suboptimal.
I am unable to find any information on Plays For Sure devices and how they are supposed to be manipulated by Winamp. I am on Windows XP SP2, running Winamp 5.21 from a completely clean installation, plus Transcoder and gUSB plug-ins, in individual profile mode. I have Windows Media Player 10 installed, as well as the Windows Media Codecs package 9.5. I installed the driver from the disk that came with the Lyra device before I connected the Lyra for the first time. For the amazing technogeeks who need this kind of information to figure out why Plays For Sure isn't being recognized on this device, here are the hardware IDs: Mass Storage Device: Hardware IDs: USB\Vid_069b&Pid_0713&Rev_1001 USB\Vid_069b&Pid_0713 Compatible IDs: USB\Class_08&SubClass_06&Prot_50 USB\Class_08&SubClass_06 USB\Class_08 Matching ID: usb\class_08&subclass_06&prot_50 There are two of the following devices connected via the above device (one for the internal memory, and one for the SD card slot): Thomson Lyra_MPCF2261_US USB Device: Hardware IDs: USBSTOR\DiskThomson_Lyra_MPCF2261_US0100 USBSTOR\DiskThomson_Lyra_MPCF2261_US USBSTOR\DiskThomson_ USBSTOR\Thomson_Lyra_MPCF2261_US0 Thomson_Lyra_MPCF2261_US0 USBSTOR\GenDisk GenDisk Compatible IDs: USBSTOR\Disk USBSTOR\RAW Matching ID: gendisk #1 (the internal disk) has a Generic Volume attached. #2 (the SD slot) does not, as I have no SD card in it. Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks for your time. -WotA |
