Mouse modding...
I know there's at least a few peripheral freaks here who might be interested in this.
Basically, i've done what (in my opinion) logitech should have, and made my G5 mouse match my G15 keyboard. Pics and a quick write up here: http://www.psykotech.com/index.php?n...=article&sid=7 Comments/constructive criticism are of course welcome. :) |
Wow thats a cool mouse atmo.;)
My mouse is like this. This mouse have a usb port? |
Neat! You takin' orders? ;)

Nice mod Atmo, looks very good. I like that much more than the original finish. Nice site too. Any comments on the mouse, I have read the reviews but it would be nice to hear from someone who’s opinion I trust (and with no financial gain for to lie to me). I haven’t gotten to play with one yet, the local shops seem to be promoting the Diamondback pretty heavily, and nobody has a G5 or G7 on display to play with.
/offtopic/ Does NFS:MW have working support for joystick control? I got NFS:U2 when it came out but never got very far in the game since I couldn’t get it to show any option for my joystick as a controller, lost interest fairly quick. |

Styling aside, it's missing the additional thumb button that the MX500/510/518 had. I dont know why they dumped it. Also missing are the cruise control buttons. The ability to change sensitivity on the fly is great, but i'd prefer it if they kept the cruise control buttons where they were and put the sensitivity control buttons where the app switcher button the the earlier mice was. The larger, slicker feet are a big plus, as is the laser sensor. The grippy, textured main body feels a bit weird at first, but is beneficial. I'm not too sure about the ability to add weights. It's not a really light mouse in the first place and didnt feel unbalanced to me, but i guess it might be handy for some. NFS:MW works with a wheel (although i use keyboard for that type of game), so it should work with a joystick. |
Very nice.
