impossiblwe to install winamppro

Hi,
OS: ws xp home sp2
Yesterday I tried to install winamppro on my system, but I got the massage that winamppro is not compatible with windows xp home sp2. Lookíng for details I was led to a microsoft page which wanted me to download Windows Media Player. Who knows that problem and how to kill it?

Yes, Winamp is compatable with Windowx XP SP2.

What exactly does the message say and where do you get it?
You did download Winamp from Winamp.com, right?
