Length stuck at 1,5 hours
I've got a liveset which is more then 5hours of mp3 (more then 700MB) Though when i play it in winamp 5.22 (non-pro), the ML says it is 137.25 and when i play it. Winamp Playlist says it is 137.25 but the main screen knows it is more then 5hours...
is there any fix for this? |
Does the problem persist even after you remove the file from the Media Library, and then load it into the playlist window (via Explorer)?
Did you encode the file yourself? What encoder/settings were used? Is it vbr/abr or cbr? If vbr, maybe try using vbrfix to fix it. |
here is the info from winamp about the file
code: opening the mp3 through explorer doesn't seem to affect it. making a backup of the file and trying to fix |
okay tried to apply the fix.. but sadly enough that didn't fix the problem :(

Do forgive me, this was supposed to go in a different thread :)

According to the info, the file is 192kbps cbr, not vbr/abr.
You didn't answer these questions... Does the problem persist even after you remove the file from the Media Library first, and then reload it into the playlist via Explorer? ie. did you remove it from the Media library first? What encoder & settings were used to encode the mp3? (eg. LAME Enc at 192 normal cbr preset, or Fraunhofer Enc at 192 cbr) Other than that, unless the file is corrupt in some way (bad headers etc) then I'm not sure what the cause of the problem is. I've got a few long mp3's in my playlist, the longest of which is 461:01, and they all play/display/seek perfectly ok. |
