Doesn't play and How do you... ?
Hi people. First post... I'm not sure how the community acts and works here yet, so bare with me.
Anyways, I'm having two problems with Winamp. First off, here are facts that ye might need to know: I have Winamp 5.21 I run on a Windows XP First problem: I click a song to play in my playlist. It plays normally. But when it ends, the next one doesn't play. Winamp just sits there like I just opened it. Any advice? Next question: Not really a problem, but a question that I haven't found the solution for in my browsing of various forums (including this one). When I download a fan made skin, sometimes it's just a folder with the pictures. ...what? How do I turn those into my skin? Just ask for any other information you need. Thanks! |
First off
The current version of Winamp is 5.22. Please update. :) First problem Winamp > Ctrl+P > General Preferences > Playlist > uncheck "Manual Playlist Advance" -or- Shift+R while main/player window is in focus, toggles MPA If that is not it, try the DirectSound config tweaks Next question Skins are usually automatically "installed" at the time of download. No need to unzip/unpack them. Where are you getting the skins? Do you know what extension they have .wsz = Classic Skins .wal = Modern Skins. Some third party or personal skin sites have skins as zip files. If it is a zip file, you can just add the file to the Winamp/Skins folder. As mentioned above, there should be no need to unzip/unpack the file. Winamp can read zip file. Issues with "Auto-installing"/Downloading Skins If you need to reply, please reply to your thread here and not the ones linked to. Thanks |
Ah, thank you.
I won't bother about the skin thing, because, well, it's totally going over my head... ^^; Thanks again! |
