Double tracks for a significant number of files
 

Several months ago, a few dozen of my albums doubled, as in created two tracks per file in the library. While they both work when I click on them, there is only one file in the folder it is playing from. In general I just play the track that has more playcounts, but when I delete the copy with no play counts, it deletes the entire track. I'm at a loss as to what happened, and I'm at a loss as to how to deal with it. If it means reinstalling winamp, I'd do it (even though I have a thing about playcounts). Any ideas?
