Looking for an old Plugin, needing some help.
Long, long ago (and by long, long ago I mean sometime around the winamp 2 or 3 release. Probably 2, it's been quite a few years.) I stumbled upon one of the most wonderful mp3 library management software programs ever created. I can't exactly recall the title, but "sonique" sounds very familiar, unfortunately now all I find under that title is a standalone jukebox program.
So, without further ado, here's what I know about the program I'm looking for: -It was largely featured on the top of the most popular plugins at release. -It was a playlist generator that scanned the data algorithims of mp3s then matched this info to an online database to correctly identify title, artist, album, and ID3 tag. (this is the key feature I remember of the program) -Playlists could be generated based on band, song, album, and genre as basics, but this program also had the capability to generate playlists by "mood" as well as a slider which designated the tempo range of the song you were searching for. -The program could be downloaded as a trial version, allowing 200ish songs to be scanned and used in the playlist generator, the full version had to be purchased for (I believe) 20 or 30 dollars. So yeah. Does anyone remember this program? Where I can find it, or what had become of it? It was by far the most effective playlist generator and mp3 library manager I've ever come across, and I want it again. |
Maybe the old MoodLogic plugin?
Well, its now a standalone player that isn't free: http://www.moodlogic.com/ If the key part you are looking for is song identification, take a look at: http://musicbrainz.org/ |
That's exactly it. Much appreciated.
