winamp eq's?

hi there!

i have a recording that sounds ok. but when i put it through a winamp eq it sounds much better. is there anyway i can save the music file with this eq so it sounds like that all the time and not just when its being played on winamp.

cheers.

Read --> Equalizer Q&A Guide

Also, if you use Winamp's Diskwriter with EQ settings in effect, you should be able to output a new file with the EQ effects.

If you want to output/save as MP3 you will need to use a MP3 output plug-in. If you are wondering, you can use a MP3 output plug-in to save MP3 to a MP3.

Along the same lines, if I have the EQ on when I burn a CD
with WinAmp, will the CD be burned with the EQ enhancements?

JonnyMac 4th July 2006 17:18

No the DSP/Effects plug-ins and the Equalizer are bypassed when burning CDs.

You could user the DiskWriter with the desired EQ settings and save/convert the files to WAVs. The burn the new WAVs to a CD. For information on using the DiskWriter plug-in see the following post...

Although it talks about MP3 to WAV, it also works from another format to WAV
