Burning iTunes Videos
Okay, I didn't find any other topics related to this one, so here goes.
Recently iTunes added videos/movies to their store, which are available for download for some fee. However, once you have the video, you can only watch it in iTunes or QuickTime. So far I can't make WinAmp, WMP or any DVD player software recognize it. Also, iTunes does not allow you to burn the movie, the only way you can burn it is to use the generic Windows CD creator, which only allows you to make a backup of the movie. So, I'm looking for a way to make the iTunes .m4v movie files playable in other media players, and also I want to make a DVD with the movie that is readable by DVD players. I already tried burning the movie to a DVD and then re-importing it, but that didn't work, and my DVD player can't play the movie in the .m4v format currently. Any thoughts? |
complain to apple about digital rights management(DRM) and how wrong it is.
you might never be able to play that on anything apart from Itunes and/or your ipod. if anyone makes something that hacks the DRM so its playable, they might get sued. if I were you i'd boycott the apple store and download mp3's and or xvids from the internet via other means. At least play the files in a player in which you like and can burn them to cd or dvd if you wish. |
Yeah, it's not a huge deal to me since the only movies I've downloaded have been part of free offers...still, it bugs me that I can't watch it on my TV.
