Restricted Custom Install Path
 

Hey everyone, I'm new to NSIS and these forums. I've been using NSIS for about a week now, and I'm liking what I've encountered thus far quite a bit!

On to my question:
I need to be able to restrict whatever the user would like to use as an installation path to have only 8 characters per folder. It's an old game I'm repackaging, and it will work so long as this restriction is in place.

Any hints?
I've used the search feature, but I didn't come up with any relevant hits.

You can just convert the path to short format using GetFullPathName /short
