I Dont Know Why My Station Isnt Working
i have done everything i can to try and get my station working to be honest i dont think i done it right but i not sure and i can never do anything right:( can someone try and please HELP ME!!! PLEASE:winamp: IT SAYS HAVE DNAS RUNNING WHAT IS THAT ANYONE? AND WHERE DO U FIND IT?

Don't type in capitals, it's considered to be shouting and makes you look retarded. Take a close look at the top of this part of the forum and read all the 'sticky' posts. They contain all the answers.

you know like when u press ctrl p to get on to preferences on winamp well then u click on DSP/effect but when it comes up for me it is supposed to be: nullsoft SHOUTcast source DSP v1.8.2b [dsp_sc.dll] but mines says: nullsoft SHOUTcast source DSP v1.9.0 [dsp_sc.dll] instead im confused:confused: and dont know what to do and dont know why that is there i think this may be my problem to why my station isnt working can someone please try and help me to get it so it is the right one thank you!:)

whoopie! its the same damn thing. the name changed a bit. Notice is the same dll name! dsp_sc.dll !!!
Do you have a shoutcast server running ? if all you did was download the DSP and installed it into winamp, you havent even come close to becoming a server. shoutcast.com is not the streaming server. You need to install the shotucast server, read the README, read the sticky posts and learn how to edit configuration files. Once you have shoutcast server running, you then can input the same password and ip address into winamp DSP and click connect. READ the stickys. get a better idea as to what shotucasting is all about. |

what are you talking about
do you have shoutcast server installed and running, or only the DSP plugin? you need both! slwo down and explain what you have running and working, and what you have done to configured it... provide a bit more information, otherwise everyone is trying to second guess what you mean... |
well i installed everything i could find so and yeah i think i do its just what im stuck on it the ctrl p bit it dont matter about my other message i sent where i was on about v1.9.0 it just i read this thing and it always loses me i dont know what it on about at points i dont know what to mainly do when i get onto SHOUTcast source can u lead me through it please step by step what i can follow easy tell me exactly what to do please anyone please!!!:)

please answer this from my last post.. do you have the shoutcast server all ready running?? what IP address did you put inside winamp DSP (DONT !@#!@# WORRY ABOUT THE NAME OF THE DSP, SHOUTCAST DSP OR NULLSOFT, ITS THE SAME THING). ~ D |
i doesnt say IP address on mine but it does say address and i put in 127.0.0.1 there

also i know this is going off track but has anyone ever heard of Shoutcast Tv i seen it and been watching some programs eg Lost etc so does anyone know how to broadcast your programmes PLEASE tell me if u know how:)

you need more software and more knowlege of streaming in the first place. There is a forum for nullsoft streaming video as well

hi if ur station is up an running one how will u know? and two will it appear at the bottom or top when u r looking at stations like will it be say it out of 463 station will it be 1 or 463? please answer dont say "go to here it explains it all here" etc just please explain it to me ANYONE i dont think mine is running since it doesnt say conneted or whatever it meant to say it just keep saying when i press the button it keeps changing sayin: connect dissconnet and very oddly kill:eek: anyway thank you please reply ASAP:)

hi i know i already asked something but where do i find where to turn off firewalls where abouts or so or so could i turn them off cos i think i do have firewalls on and i think that is the problem thanks please anyone reply ASAP
