Obviously this fool hasn't had much experience in the online world (And probably thinks AOL is the only ISP around) if he didn't learn about computers from that nutty professor you see on TV giving away those DVDs as well.

If this fool had ANY knowledge of the Internet whatsoever, he'd know that one can't stream video using a messenger client.

You can video conference through one though. But that is not the same thing as streaming.

THEY ARE TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT BEASTS ALTOGETHER!!!!

Do yourself a favor. Before you attempt anything else - Wean yourself off those fuckin' DVDs. Trust me, you'll be thankful you did. :D

Cheers :D

err, yea i probably do come off as really stupid, i guess the way i also worded my question was really stupid...Meh i am really stupid anyway

I wanted to know if someone could help me Stream things off of my website, because i have no expierence in any kind of streaming, and i wanted someone to talk me through it over a messenger client, it would be alot easier because i really dont understand what im doing while im trying to use the tutorial posted in the introduction

I doubt you will find anyone willing to do that sort of hand holding for free. I'm not really sure that you could explain over instant messaging.

You need to read and figure out the basic concepts, then come back here and ask more specific questions.

Video streaming is a slightly complicated process, but everything you need to know is in the documentation. There isn't any shortcut, save paying someone to set this up for you.

You will need to sit down with the documentation and read. It's all there, if a little obtuse. Expect it to take you a week to get up to speed. Then come back and ask why this or that doesn't work.

If you stop using the word "Meh" I will help you.
You are not an anime character nor is it a very thuggish word therefore I suggest you refrain from using it.

What exactly is the problem anyways, the documentation is fairly straightforward, most everyone else on the forum figured it out...

You make yourself sound inconfident and stupid by saying that... just so you know.

rockouthippie 6th August 2006 05:48

Somewhere you said you had a problem with the headers.txt file.

What problem?. That might be able to give us a start?.

Elliott Hird 6th August 2006 07:29

It's easy :weird:

Wire up your BSD toaster to the TV which you must load your NSV videos on to with your internet-compatible fridge, then write a client for it on a mac routing to a PC via LAN cables. Then set up a SHOUTcast server routing to another server etc. three steps. Then get a SHOUTcast license and set up the master server, and route them to that.

Glad I could help :)
