Password showing while winamp buffers
Hi folks, I'm having a little problem here. I bought a suscription for www.di.fm. So I have a password for premium access. What they do to make it easier for you is give you a .pls file with your password already on it. Something like this:
[playlist] File1=http://username:password@server.com:port/ The problem is that Winamp shows the username and password in the title window while it's buffering. Can anyone at winamp dev change it to show username@***** or something, to hide the password? Cheers! hjf |
they can't because its a url.
while it is easier, you are let down by the security. all web browsers have this problem aswell. |
er... what?
I think it's very easy for the winamp devs to add a regexp like s/\:.*\@/\*\*\*\*/ and that would be enough for winamp to hide the password. |
