Making winamp listen from line-out
I want winamp to listen from another music player. How do i make winamp listen from line-out without using cables?
Plugins? |
line-out cannot be listened to, as it is an output.
line-in can be listened to typing "linein://" without the "" into the url adder of the playlist editor.(ctrl+l) |
I mean.. I want winamp to "listen" from a application called "Sam broadcaster", since i can make cool crossfades and effects there for my Shoutcast. Isn't there any way to make winamp listen to my soundcard or any sound that is supposed to go OUT?

What exactly do you want Winamp to actually do? If you have issues with SAM, you may want to contact Spacial Audio for support. |
actually, it could work if your sound card supports using wave-out or even the master/stereo mix as a recording input.
start Winamp and open the linein:// location Start > run > sndvol32 /r this will open the recording control, which you can hopefully select either Wave Out or the Master Stereo mix http://img301.imageshack.us/img301/9100/lineindn5.png if those don't show up, thenyou may need to unhide them but goint into options > properties and selecting the sliders you want to show up Every different soundcard will have different slider labels and different functionality too. so it's up to you to figure out which one to use The linein Winamp plugin just uses whatever is selected in the Recording Volume Control |
I'll try that.. It's about what i wanted to hear :P
