Unable to install plugins to U3
 

I've been searching for the past 4 hours on here and have found nothing that addresses my specific problem. I have a Sandisk 4GB U3 smart drive. I installed a u3 version of Winamp that was posted on this site. I then proceeded to download and install a few plug-ins (specifically a cover art display plugin and a lyric display plugin). For whatever reason, there is no folder named "winamp" on my U3 drive, so I tried to install in a folder I made called "Plugins" inside the system folder where the other winamp components had installed themselves. I then changed where the plugins folder was pointing to the folder I had just created. When I went to preferences to view the plugins, none of the ones I tried to install were there. Only the ones that originally came with the product. I rebooted and tried again with still no success. I'm sure this is something simple. I've probably just been looking at it too long. What have I forgotten to do? Please help.

You can try this out, it worked for me.

Search on your apps folder for the file WinAmp.u3p and rename it WinAmp.zip

Open it and search the folder where the plugins are, I think it´s something like host/plugins (all that inside the zip file)

Once you´ve found it, add all the plugins you need/want to use on that zip file, save it and close it.

Rename the zip file and use an extension .u3p (Back to the name it had)
*You might need to make the system show up the extensions so it stops being recognized as a zip file

Extract the U3 drive and put it back to test if it works.
*I needed to take the flash drive out of the computer and put it back in, I am not sure if others will have to do that, or even reboot the computer.
