What Mic to use?

Hello everyone,

I have been using some labtec headsets when presenting my radio show, but find that i have to put the mic right next to my mouth before anyone can hear me properly. This also picks up me blowing air at the mic as i talk lol can anyone reccomemd a good quality way of streaming my voice.

thanks

Craig

Good mic will be pro mic :)
But if you have fewer money than 500$ ;) you can use this model:
CUB 880
Good and cheap mic for many uses. It can be used with PC too so don't worry and buy it.
Phillips mic are also good.
And good idea will be buying mic amplifier.

I thikn that will be good. You will buy a handler and you will can broadcast your voice :)
and look for other categories if you want for example stereo mic or sth expensive

If you want to use a headset, try a sennheiser 160.

I can't quite keep up with hearing myself talk yet - so I need to have a seperate mic and headset. Thanks though!

What bitrate are you broadcasting at? If you're running a fairly low bitrate broadcast, you won't be able to tell the difference between a $100 mic and a $1000 mic.

I'm staying under 128...

I was wondering about that too. If 32 is radio quality, is there any reason to go higher than that?
