More playlist support
 

I would love for Winamp to include support for more playlists besides m3u and pls. Especially xml and txt playlists....

Winamp natively supports m3u8 (v5.25+), m3u, pls, b4s, asx, wax, wpl, wvx playlists.

b4s & wpl are xml-based
though all playlists are text-based (txt).

What other playlist extensions were you thinking of exactly?

Support for Real ram/smil playlists is provided by a 3rd-party plugin, such as Tara.

I think that covers most of the major playlist types. The only other playlist types I know of are .fpl (foobar2000) and .mpcpl (media player classic), both of which support saving to standard m3u anyway. They start getting a bit more rare/obscure after that.

I think he was referring especially to xml and txt playlists (as he mentioned in the post, actually). These are used by Itunes, which is probably the most popular media player these days so supporting them would be extremely useful. Right now i'm finding the nonsupport of them extreeely UNuseful.
