"Now playing" and advertising
 

For information : I'm in France, so, maybe what happened to me doesn't happen to you.

So, I always select "now playing" when I listen to music, cause I like to read biography of certain bands, have access to discography etc.
But, for 3 days, I have a f...... advertising for a mobile operator with a girl or a guy singing ugly songs (and loudy)!
I don't know how all that stuff is working, but I am asking to winamp team if it's possible to not have ad with sound ?! Winamp is a music player, so an advertising with a sound is realy bad,unpleasant and uncompatible ! :down:

Please fix that if you can, I beg you !! (Or tell me if there is an option to block ads)

We've let our French advertising partners know about this. Hopefully it will be corrected soon!

This advertising is annoying. Do I get rid of it if I buy the full version of Winamp?

Nope. With Pro you get the faster ripping/burning and MP3 encoding support.

At least the advertising is local now, instead of the US-specific ones.
It looks a bit cheap to only see flashing ads for mortgages and loans though :S

i hope it won't happend to me...

I am in US and am getting the same problem: annoying audio ads that start playing automatically and at random in the dashboard and now playing screens. I don't really have a problem with the ads, just the audio in the ads. Winamp folks, please resolve this quickly. These types of things are starting to get out of control and are more than just minor annoyances at this point. They are negatively affecting the main use of your product (to listen to your digital music collection).
