You don't. m3u is a playlist format, it contains information about the location of files and so on, it dosn't contain any actual audio data.
Open the m3u up in notepad or something and you'll see. Here is an an example of my current m3u code: If it's an m3u link your clicking on somewhere online, then again, that only provides information to allow you to stream the media files from online servers and so on. |
yep like Mr Jones said it's not posible those are 2 diferent file, they r contain other things in them.
one is audio and the other is only links to audio. |
just change the extention of .m3u to .mp3 and viola!

It is possible!
Here's how to do it: Get your m3u file into winamp. A bigass playlist will appear. Make sure you have a shitload of free hard drive space. Set a sound recorder (either Windows sound recorder or Creative Recorder, or something similar) to record what the computer outputs. Press play on Winamp. Drink case after case of cheapass beer while you wait for the whole damn playlist to record onto one bigass file. When done, stagger back to the computer and press stop on the recorder. Locate the file; it'll probably be a .wav file, so you'll have to convert it to mp3. Musicmatch jukebox does this, or other programs do too. Drink a few more beers while this process happens. If you still haven't died of alcohol poisoning when this is all finished, you will have successfully changed your m3u file to an mp3 file. |
