"Bad DirectSound driver"

Yeah as the headline says, I'm getting this error when trying to play stuff in winamp..

The whole error message is:
"DirectSound output v2.43 (d) error"
"Bad DirectSound driver. Please install proper drivers or select another device in configuration."
"Error code: 88780078"

Now my question is: How do I get it to work!? xD

This happened after i installed a USB headset.
- Everything worked fine until I broke the headset (Lost the sound in one side), and had to use my soundcard, with an older, regular headset instead..
And then it wouldn't work.. my guess is that the USB headset replaced my soundcard driver or something, since i can't find my soundcard anywhere under "Control Panel / Sound devices" - it just shows grey/unactive menu's..

This isn't JUST winamp - Nothing can play sound, through my regular soundcard: Games, media players, Ventrilo, NOTHING xD

And i don't know where to get the drivers I need..

HEEEELP ='(

the manufacturer of your soundcard(or if its onboard the motherboard) probably has a website.

i'd suggest you check there.

there's nothing we can help you with as we don't know what soundcard you have.

ComputerHope.com: How to determine what type of sound card I have?
If you don't find the System Information icon in the Accessories folder, it may be in the System Tools sub-folder (inside the Accessories folder). If you are not familiar or uncomfortable with the inside of computer, I would not suggest using "opening the computer" as the other method.

I am very familiar with the insides of my computer ;P

I know almost everything thats inthere, exept the name of my soundcard.. :D
