Winamp acts as a universalcontrol
 

I have a problem with my winamp, when I play music in it, it acts like a universalcontrol, so when I lower the volume on winamp, my ventrilo, media player volume lowers also and I find it very irritating. Anyone have a solution to my problem?

go to Preferences->Output and switch to the Direct Sound output.
