Intro file working...but no live stream afterwards

I use shoutcast for video streaming,
I have been trying to add and intro file for a long time and finally I have succeeded but no without a problem..
The intro file play alright but the live stream doesn't come afterwards. All I can see if 13% buffer and the the title of the stream. Now I've been looking around and have found little help in this thread

I do video streaming so the bitrate vary from what I put in the DSP (NSVCAP whihc is set to 200kb). I use VP62 encoder with bitrate of 330kb and adui is set to mono 32kb (MP3 Lame) , so I wen ahead and encoded the intro file in the same bitrates (330kb and 32kn etc) but no help.
The I encoded the file again with video: 200kb audio:32kb mono but to no avail...jus wondering if anyone is there to help me out on this.
Thanks

Intro files are generally a waste of time and effort with SHOUTcast.

In general, I dislike them - when I want to listen to a stream the last thing I want to hear is some pointless intro.

If you really MUST use one - Its much easier to just build them into a playlist and send the user to the playlist, so your first item is the intro file (hosted on your webspace) and then the second entry is the stream server URL.... this way your listeners' player will play the intro file and then the stream itself - regardless of what bitrate/samplerate each one is at.

Yep i agree james, I frequete a station that has an intro file and also plays sweepers after every song, i feel i know what station i'm listening to without the intro file.

Your intro file has a different bitrate/sample rate to your stream.

If your stream is at, for example, 128k/44.1kHz/Stereo then your intro needs to be the same.
