Winamp constantly skipping tracks
 

I've done my best to search this but didn't see anything.

When I play tracks in Winamp it constantly skips them and goes to another, which it skips, and goes to another. The seek slider shows once on each song at about 2/3 of the way through. No sound plays when Winamp is doing this.

I did just recenly install and uninstall 2 plugins (DFX 7 and Dynamic Menu) and after I uninstalled them Winamp started going AWOL. This isn't the first time this has happened. I was using Winamp a year or so ago and it started to do the exact same thing. I ended up reinstalling to fix it but would rather not do that this time and lose my settings.

I've restarted both Winamp fand my computer and nothing changes. Ditto after reimporting the tracks

Any thoughts?

EDIT: I just found some threads on this issue. It's apparently an open-issue with no solution that I've seen. If the forum software would let me I'd delete this thread. Sorry to fill up the forums.

You could be using disk writer output plugin, if this is the case, try changing to directsound or waveout. Disk writer saves them as .wav to somewhere on your computer.
