CDDB glitch
 

I have been a paid Winamp customer for quite some time, but recently the ability to burn songs and have Winamp recognize the CD tracks via Gracenote has borked. I've tried everything, from reinstalling to deleting certain .ini files on all the user accounts to disabling the firewall...nothing seems to work.

Anyone have ANY idea what I can do to make Winamp recognize CDs that I insert?

so it can't get info from the internet?

or the cd isn't in the gracenote database?

cd's you made yourself or compilations will not be in the database.

also a lot of brand spanking new cd's are not in the gracenote database.

i've tried CDs that I know ARE in the gracenote dbase, and they are looked up fine on my laptop, I so know that's not it.

And it's not a firewall thing, and I've tried reinstalling the app but nothing changes? Anyone?
