default winamp startup

hi. is there a way to make winamp startup the same every time. i usually listen to mp3s with winamp but occasionally i will watch movies. but when i go to play an mp3 after watching a movie, winamp always opens with the video screen viewable. is there a way to make winamp so every time i open it it will open with just the player? thanks for your help!

I think this is just the way Winamp operates. It will always try to restart in the same condition you closed it. Probably the only way to have Winamp start exactly the same each time is to write-protect the 'winamp.ini' file.

There is a setting to close the Video window on stop (Prefs > Gen Prefs > Video) but this is over ridden/ignored by the exit routine.
The Station Info window suffers the same(with more dramatic results in the Modern skin).

[additional] There seems to be no reason for either the Video or Station Info window to be on screen at start up, so may be they could be automatically closed on exit.
