Portable Device Question

First of I have been using Winamp and have to say it is a great peice of software and am thrilled that the portable device for iPods seems to be working now.

2 questions -

1)In the iPod playlist view, when you click on a playlist the first column before artist is #. What is that #????

2) How do you have a file tagged as a Podcast so that when you use the iPod you can just look under Podcasts to view all of them. I know I can put them as Podcasts under Genre and find them that way but I was just curious.

thanks....

1. It's a symbol that stands for "Number" ??
2. Winamp doesn't support Syncing podcasts.
