after loading folders, winamp automatically shuts off
 

ok, i've never used the winamp library and prefer to jsut drag folders into the playlist to play music.

However recently after upgrading, winamp just automatically shuts off. I've tried it with smaller folders and it works but folders with large amounts of music just automatically shuts off.

It didn't used to do this in the older version and i was wondering if there was a solution?

i should also add that i'm i'm using the newest version of winamp (cleanly installed - based on suggestions on this board) on winxppro sp2.

compaq presario 2500
intel pentium 4 cup 2.4 ghz 448mb of ram

as for soundcard/video card i dunno. whatever coms installed with it. its like conexant ac-link audio or something.

actually nevermind, i downgraded to 5.24 and it's working fine now.
