but i dont know what in hell is a i.e.

i.e. (in this case) is simply a grammatical term, basically meaning "that is" and usually conveys specific examples.
He does not like root vegetables, i.e. potatoes, parsnip and beets.
So it has nothing to do with the proxy it self.

I don't mean to be condescending, just providing a explanation.

oh thanx dude!!!!

you know youre little english grammatical term tip was not very usufull for me.....thanx anyway but..could you tell me how to set up my proxy server so ill be able to listen the shoutcast radio?

Sorry, there is not much that we can tell you, because we don't know your proxy configuration.

Are you sure you have a internet connection via a proxy? If you are on a corporate or school server ask the help desk or system/network services. If it is a home connection or network with a proxy, ask your ISP or the people who set it for you. Generally on a regular home internet connection you usually don't have a proxy to worry about, but that may vary.

The example in the preferences is not easily seen, a common format is...
username:password@server:port

yeah well....

i did actually set up the proxy configuration but the buffer here sucks...i think i just have a lousy connection lol...whats a shame cause i really would like to listen some trance at philosomatika...gotta fix that.

Luciferian 9th December 2006 14:25

ahm....is that something i can do to fix the buffer with my lousy 200kbps connection?

Besides getting a better connection, nope.
