Special Characters in Winamp

Hello everyone, I have a small problem that needs a-fixin'

I'm not able to add tracks with special (foreign) characters to my Media Library. I remember having this same problem a while back and I fixed it somehow but really am not sure what I did. What I mean is... If I have an .mp3 that is called (for example) 01 - Større enn Tid - Tyngre enn Natt.mp3 and when I drag it into Winamp to add, it doesn't do anything. and when I change the "ø" to an "o" it works. So, is this a Winamp issue? or is it a Windows issue? And does anyone know what the proper procedure is to fix this?

Thanks for your time

the media library doesn't support unicode yet.

though winamp should now be able to open the files in the playlist editor and the main window.
