Suddenly no sound
 

After using winamp 3 for years with no problem I couldn't not get it to deliver any sound yesterday, all my other media players work now except winamp..I installed the new version and still no luck..My son has been using Itunes..could this be part of the prob?..or is this simple like a mute button that I haven't found?.. we're pc not mac Thanks k

maybe you switched unintentionally the output plugin from DirectSound\Waveout (standard on Windows XP the 1st, on Windows 98 the latter) to something different (like Nullsoft Disk Writer; it saves to disk by default in .wav format without sound output)
