Length of Video Not Displaying
I am currently using Winamp 5.09 and ml_ipod 2.0
I am having trouble with the videos that I transfer to my 30GB iPod. After transfer, some of my videos will not display a length time in Winamp and on the iPod. When I actually play the video on my iPod, it plays fine but if I try and fast forward through the video, the length of the video will also say 0:00 and will stop the video all together. In the picture below, you will see some of the videos that display 0:00 as the length time. Has anyone else encountered this before? This problem is a bit of a pain if you're trying to go to a certain spot on a video. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...uto/winamp.jpg |
What format are your videos encoded? My experience is Winamp can handle pretty fine MP4 (MPEG4 and H.264) files, but I'm not so sure about QuickTime (MOV) files which also are supported by the iPod.

They are in .mp4 format. I use Cucusoft iPod Movie/Video Converter to convert them into iPod format. If I play the .mp4 on my computer, it will play the video and display the video length accurately so there must be some problem when transferring it to the iPod.

Do you have the MP4 input plugin installed (this is an audio input plugin, but it is necessary for the MP4 videos)?

the mp4 files can play in winamp?
Winamp is not support mp4 video, so can play audio only. but winamp display length of the mp4 file. if can't play audio or not display length, this file can't transfer in ml_ipod... sorry. Please reencode the file. if set extension of mp4 in DirectShow input plugin config, remove mp4. this plugin obstructs to recognize length. |
