Banning Certain IP addresses

I did a search and even tried thinking...to no avail.

Recently I have been seeing many requests by 2 IP addresses on one of my SC Servers, but they disconnect and connect repeatedly dozens of times with only a second or so in between attempts. First, what's the deal? Bandwidth isn't an issue as others can connect during this time, including myself from another PC.

Second, how can I block certain IP addesses? I notice there is a BanIP feature, but it doesn't describe anything other than "configured automatically over the internet"

How do I turn the BanIP feature on and configure it?

Thanks, as always!

Nevermind, I figured out how to do it via the "admin login" on the shoutcast page. I think that's how its done?

:igor: Sorry for taking up space here :igor:

correct thats the way,

watch out tho as they may be not be static and could be different ip addresses another time so keep your eye on it,

Interesting, I just kicked a 192.168.1.xx off my server (must have left a machine running at work), and the tail log file shows the IP of the computer that kicked it, that's kind of cool.

While I was there I noticed the log file goes back to the dawning of time. How can I flush or ammend it?

Delete it.
