How many gigs of NON-RIAA music do you have on your HD?
 

I have about 20 gigs of indie label music. Indie is the best, by the way!!

Are you upset that everyone else has more total gigs of music than you do?

Oh goodie, another RIAA music aficionado! I have some Diet Pepsi bottle caps good for a free ITunes download, maybe I will send them to you if you behave. Downloading gigs of RIAA tunes is just as easy a pig eating from a trough.

i was going to download some legal songs from the pepsi points thing, then i went to the site and i learned i had to download itunes. i threw the caps in the trash.

seems like the question should be more like how much of your music is lega1...

I give you credit for not downloading Itunes. As far as RIAA music, you can load up any spyware infested file sharing program, and have RIAA "music" overflow right onto your harddrive, or just walk into a 2nd hand music store and buy tons of 3.99 used CDs to rip. No big deal.

Indie labels, especially European indie, and Asian music is much harder to aquire in the United States, by any means, which is the reason for my original question.

I'm so much more awesome than you guys. I only listen to indie music. Indie is awesome, and I listen to it, you don't, therefore I'm awesome. More awesome than you, anyways. I'm also renegade. Fuck the Riaa, aren't I cool?

I got absolutely no clue how much of my big pile of mp3 files are indie
and nice that you like indie, i like individual songs
and if their rock /indie/blues/soul/rnb or whatever is something i don't care much about.

Replace Indie with Metal and suddenly that post doesn't look like a parody anymore. :p

I used to host 'indie' tunes on my old website when I had 'section8.com' as a domain. Anyone out there ever heard of 'Mountain Hippie' or 'The Nudes' or 'The Pedestrians' or 'SAND' or 'The Wright Wally's'. I hope I still have a copy of their stuff. Good music is not just mainstream music.
