You're not listening closely, if at all to what you perceive as the other side. The current anger against the Bush/Cheney regime's anti-American policies is well defined and well earned. Actually, I really believe that if you understood the pro-constitutional position of the left you'd find yourself in agreement more than you currently think you would.

The lefties want the Republic party to keep it's nose out of personal business and our social lives. It's not the dems that want to legislate marriage, abortion, women's rights, sexuality and religion. They only come out for less govt intervention via laws in the business world. That is not the Dems doing that.

But I don't think the Republic party is really all that evil at heart. They have been running scared of their own power base since the Reagan days. The Neocons run their party via fear, whips and retribution. Not that the Dems don't as well, but let's try to be fair and not blanket blame the other side for everything.
