Went dirt biking this morning. Fell off, luckily I landed on my head or I might have been hurt.

Went to the hardware store and bought a couple more things earlier today. Took my roommate to Home Depot to get some walking stones to make a walkway on the side of the house (since I'm the only one living here that has a pickup truck). Probably gonna head back out shortly to stop by the bank and make a deposit, and go look for a small toolbox that I can put behind the seat in my truck...

Writing a presentation on Buddhist cosmology. Then, fixing some assembly code so it does order of operations instead of just equations left to right.

We'll see what time it is when it's all done.

Might go see 300 @ the imax theater an hour away.

Folding clothing & taking care of my son. I don't work today so I doubt I'll be posting at 3 & 4 in the morning.

I have been in bed sick for the past 2 days. Went to Baltimore and ended up with food poisioning. It is the worst. This is the first I have been able to get off the couch without getting sick. Trying to stay hydrated so I dont end up in the hospital. fun times.

I have between now and before 1:25 PM this Tuesday to write a stupid 5-6 page research essay for my English class, as I bullshit about the social context in 1930s America of blacks and women as depicted in the novel "Their Eyes Were Watching God", and I plan on finishing that up sometime before 5 this afternoon when we have a cookout...

Writing the paper ain't a big deal...It's actually incorporating the "research" that I hate...

Painted a new garden fence this morning, arms are killing me now...

Renee and I interviewed in Cleveland for school counselor jobs in Las Vegas. They're offering some pretty huge incentives to go out there - signing bonuses, moving expenses, housing assistance, and even car lease assistance if you choose to pick up a new ride.

It will be hard to leave what I've known for years in Pennsylvania and Ohio, but it's the only way I could possibly find two school counseling jobs within driving distance of each other. I already have a good job doing this here, but with Renee graduating soon, she'll have to wait nearly forever for something to open up locally, so since we both want to work, we're leaving town to go to a growing area with lots of jobs rather than a depressed, falling apart area like here in Akron, Ohio.

Either way, today we got the initial interviews out of the way, and both went very well. We're both hoping to get good jobs out there, and if they don't offer for both of us we'll keep looking.

I then came home and changed into shitty clothes.

I then biked 12 miles with Renee's dad followed by helping him spread mulch around his gardens/trees.

When I finally made it home, my neighbor showed up with his friends and we spent a couple hours on the dock drinking root beer and bullshiting about news and other random stuff. He doesn't want me to leave town and is upset that I would consider leaving this place for the desert.

After that I posted here, and that's about all of the noteworthy shit I did today.

worek and more worek. But I interviewed for a new gig on the sly -- popped out for an hour and did a phone interview while sitting on the docks. rigorous and exhausting, but a sweet gig if I get it.

I was hooked when I saw the rolling stones in imax. Mick Jaggers lips were 40 feet wide. Black people in the audience were saying "That white boy has some m*fuk'n BIG LIPS!".

Frankly, I'd like to go to the imax today because everything I have done today has turned to mud. It took me two hours to change my power steering pump, where if I had been working without having my head up my ass, it should have took 20 minutes.

It's just one of those days where I don't know whether to shit or go blind.

The weather is shitty. My soon to be ex brother in law needs killing. I am on the rag even more than usual.

Maybe I need an imax show.

I'm being moved to the downstairs with no window, no light and no fresh air. The new admin asst's to the execs took control and fucked over all us old timers. My new office space is a flipping hole. I feel like that guy in the movie office space who they keep moving around until he finds himself in a storage closet in the basement. Just fucking great. Just in time for summer and I lose the light and fresh air.

and of course the phalanx of exec adims with their big hair and personal starbucks cups will all get upstairs window slots looking out on the harbor. I can't wait to quit this job. grrrr

Woke up around 10 with the Sun streaming through the window.
Excellent breakfast of lamb chops, tomatoes and mushrooms, pot of fine Guatamalan bourbon coffee.
Letter on the doormat from the taxman - "I calculate that you have nothing to pay for the year 2005-2006"
Gentle stroll around the common and a lunchtime pint.
Fitted a couple of Fanmates in one of the machines to restore the peace.
Half an hour on the dulcimer, learnt a new tune in preparation for an evening get together playing with friends.

Another bloody day in paradise.
