What music should I use as background

Hello!

Where making a short movie about 3 friends becoming 21 years old, and we like to include some background songs (rock, or or rock pop) when the kids are in car, driving late night, girls, bars, clubs...you know..whild things... :)

Any suggestions?

Kinda hard to tell. Depending on the actual tone you're going for:
  • Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars (yes, I know, but it makes a good backing if you don't mind looking pretentious)
  • The Moldy Peaches - I Forgot (really good if you want it to look sweet, the lo-fi production could backfire I guess though)
  • The Eagles - Life in the Fast Lane (ok, this is as much a joke as it's anything else, but I think this would work)
  • Black Crowes - Greasy Grass River or Young Man, Old Man (these are both just excellent songs, I guess footage would fit well over them too).
I dunno. It really depends on what you want it to come out like. I'd recommend some unsigned bands from around here, but I'm not gonna make you buy MP3s online or anything for this ;)

Well, actually we where thinking a modern-style of the 80's movie License to drive...
