Hi.

I was asked to write/make/find an installer which installs a small client for our database-application. Buying something like $BIGBRAND for $HUGEAMOUNT _was_ an option.

Then i found (remembered) NSIS...


Two days later everything was done. My installer writes to configuration files, asks for specific Data (IP, Port etc), has a clean uninstall-mechanism and has a size of 2.3 MB (6 MB when extracted). And it's even eye-candy!

Now we're thinking about including some prereqs and i'm sure it can be done in a couple of hours.


I'm sorry, i know this is OT, but i have to say thanks to the developers and the community. Good job, NSIS is fantastic! :)
