CPU physical core detect
Hello!
I've searched around forum, wiki, google and googlegroups, but could not find answer to my question so I will ask it here. Is it possible, using NSIS or some plugin, to detect physical number of CPU cores? HyperThread enabled CPU would still count as one, since they have 1 physical and 2 logical CPUs, while AMD X2 and Intel Core 2 Due have 2 physical cores. Any hints? Thank you! |
Doesn't the CPUDesc plug-in provide this?

Not sure, but help file says the following:
NCPU: The number of processors available. (Affected by that "Hyper" business that the new XEONs can do, I think.) |
