"error asking thread to die"

Winamp is closing with this error.
Most important thing I like to know: is this a error of winamp or is it a virus or something?

I don't think it is virus related. That error has been reported a few times in the past and is obscure. It is apparently related to dodgy third party Winamp plug-in. If this happened after installing an extra plug-in, try uninstalling that plug-in. Another possibility is corrupted audio/media file.

No luck or the above is not it? Please post a reply with system and Winamp specs.

I have seen that error before myself, but I don't remember what plugin it was from.

If you are using the sqrsoft advanced crossfader, go into it's prefs and shut off its error messages (for some reason I think this might have been the one)
