GUI freeze
 

I have read some of the information but found nothing about my problem. Winamp works fine when trying to play regular files but on version 5.34 and then again with 5.35, going on sites like www.di.fm and getting a stream freezes the GUI. I can stear hear the music fine but can't use the interface at all because it is frozen. Me thinks it has something to do with the ad, because it certainly isn't a factor in other cases.

EDIT: To elaborate on my theory that it's the stationinfo/winamp ad is that I have DI premium and it works just fine when I click on any premium stream when I'm logged in. To note, on the premium account, the "station info" or whatever popup to the left does not show up.

I've had this problem on my desktop computer before which runs XP SP2 and a SB Audigy 2 for a soundcard.

Maybe try disabling the station info window:
Prefs (Ctrl+P) > General Prefs > Station Info > uncheck 'Automatically show info on station tune-in'
