AVS Overlay vs Windows Vista, No Funciona

Sorry, if i put this topic in the wrong catagory. I don't have much experience.

I have the Winamp Pro 5.35 installed on a Windows Vista HP notebook. When I try to use the AVS in full screen overlay mode it swithes the screen to solid green color. I have to press escape to get out of it. and then Winamp takes several minutes to get back to responding.

Does anyone else have this difficulty?
Is it a bug, a feature, or issue with my notebook computer?

Please help,

Thanks, Kevin Smith

yeah this is broken in vista.

Seems like everything is broken in Vista. I'm starting to hate that OS. Nothing but problems with my soundcard and programs that previously ran flawlessly (like winamp) won't do what they have to do.

Hopefully a new winamp will be released very soon, 'cause I promised my friends that I would visualize the music on the 10th birthday of our band. And nothing beats AVS @#}{

you can use avs fine, you just can't use overlay.

vista is rubbish.

Windows Vista will eventually be the norm. So, the overlay fad will fade?

AVS - Overlay vs. Windows Vista, ¡No Jala!

Yes, it doesn't work in vista. In XP it works for me on the primary display only. I haven't time to mess with it for now. I have found other software to give me overlay abilities.

Bump !

This "bug" is the main reason why I never updated to Vista.
I'm currently looking at the sources to see if I could do something ...
