Wish the new Version would be released...

Hi,

I would like the new version to be released, cause the Vista bugs (Files with long names don't open correctly by double-click from explorer) are fixed since weeks, if I can believe tha bug-report...
At the moment Winamp is nearly unusable for me, I always have to drag&drop the files.....
So why don't release??? Even an 5.36alpha would be better for Vista-users, than the 5.35....

Thanks Thomas

It will be released, when it is ready.

Don't release unfinnished stuff please. It's better to wait some more days and get a better build than get it now and full of bugs.

mmm... also the "C" release (after alfa, beta) have bugs

release alfa/beta release is useful to test and find more and more bugs... :D

5.35 is buggy! And the Versions after will be buggy too....

But the real problem is, that the bug I mentioned makes Winamp nearly unusable for Vista-users-->many users.
This is why I can't understand why not release. Vista is out since 8 months. Its not one of the bugs most users never recognize, its one of these that frustrade me every fifth file-click....

So please have a heart and release a Version without this bug. Call it alpha, call it beta, call it 5.352. Doesn't matter except this bug has gone...

Winamp is the best mp3-player in my opinion and I wanna use it again.

What happened to teasing and "alpha" releases. ;P

CraigF 20th August 2007 13:27

You know, you're right, there hasn't been much teasing.

I wonder what might cause that? Perhaps the changes aren't just a casual list of updates and bug fixes? Who knows.

As far as an alpha, its way past alpha stage. I call for a public Omega!
