Soundcard Input doesnt work well
Hi!
I've got a big problem: when i set the soundcard input in my shoutcast source, the buffer is almost empty after five minutes. when i set the source to winamp, the buffer is getting a bit more empty when a new song begins. i use winamp 5.5 with the shoutcast source plugin and a "advanced crossfading" plugin. ive found it here. sry, that its in german, i didnt found the english page :( i set my bitrate to 192 kbps. a long time after ive installed the 5.5 beta it didnt work well. but then a long time it worked very well. and since yesterday it workes a bit worse. and since ive installed the final 5.5 version it works very bad. should i try to install the old version? torben |
How are you determining your buffer is empty?

sorry, but the new version doesn't work and chrashes all the time. how can i get the old version? i want to try it out with the old one again.
@Altairis: I've tested it from a network computer or gadget. its a gadget which plays streams without a pc. so the bandwith might not be the problem. your crossfading plug-in is that one, i used too. @Tom: when i listen to a station Ive got a bar on my noxon (the gadget i discribed) which shows me how full the buffer is. after one minute theres a piece of the bar missing and after five minutes its empty. |
