my stream does not show on shoutcast.com

hi,

i'm using the shoutcast server and sc_trans on my linux box for my stream. the stream is up and running and in the past it showed as a station on shoutcast.com, but recently i've noticed that it is not there. can anyone explain to me why?

the station is called 'roach clip radio' and the link to the stream is: http://roachclipradio.com:1040/listen.pls

thanks in advance!

Do you have any errors in the logs?

don't rely on the yp as it can be problematic.

it can take some time to get listed.

I'll have to check on that when I get home since I can't ssh into my box from work. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi =)
I do not see my stream in lists
Help to understand please!
The server once has written to me - [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com added me successfully
And constantly writes [yp_tch] yp.shoutcast.com touched! - what does it mean? =(

Beforehand thanks =)

Dampire,
That means that your station has connected with yp.shoutcasat.com (the list of stations at shoutcast.com). The touch message just means that it has connected to the yp and updated the song title and listener count. This is all normal and you should be in the yp if you're seeing these messages in the log.

so I checked the log file and found this:

(Cannot see your station/computer (IP:
69.54.163.2:1040) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection timed out).)

but that is very strange because if that was the case I wouldn't be able to tune into my station from another computer on a different network right? well I can. I'm not sure what's going on, I'll ask the sysadmin of the linux box I'm using. in the past when I hosted the server myself I would get that error when I had to set port forwarding on my router. but even when that was the case, others could not listen to my station, but with this case they can. hmm...

The problem is the yp is picking up 69.54.163.2 yet it's on 69.54.163.101.

Without knowing the details of the server first try setting DestIP to 69.54.163.101 and if that doesn't work set Yport to 666 (if you get a FATAL ERROR set DestIP back to ANY)

I tried setting the destip properly and the yport to 666 with no success :(

Let me know if you have any other ideas... I'm still waiting to hear back from the sysadmin.

thanks
